Research Interests

 
  • IR Spectroscopy and magnetotransport studies in III-V/Mn digital alloys - mechanism of ferromagnetism in these spintronic materials
  • Optically detected resonance studies of free carriers and excitons in semiconductor quantum wells and quantum dots
  • Optically detected resonance studies of spin injection in Spin-LEDs
  • Infrared spectroscopy of III-V nanoparticles produced by novel chemical techniques

  I am primarily interested in the basic physics and applications of semiconductor nanostructures, especially in many-body and spin- related phenomena. My specific interests are: mechanisms of ferromagnetism in III-V/TM (TM = transition metal) alloys and the exploitation of these unique materials in spintronic and spin-photonic devices; the basic mechanisms of the anomalous hall effect and magnetoresistance in III-V/Mn digital alloys; electron-electron and electron-hole interactions in low-dimensional semiconductor systems; semiconductor nanoparticles in organic matrices.
